Placement exams
In order to ensure that students enter Stanford Egypt at a level best fitting their current academic needs, every new student is required to complete a placement exam prior to receiving an admissions decision. These exams are specifically designed to assess the student’s academic capabilities in Math, English, and Arabic.
By taking the time to have your child complete our grade-specific placement exams, you are enabling us at Stanford Egypt to provide an education that caters to the needs of your child.
Placement exams take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to complete and are immediately graded and evaluated. Language exams (German and French) are primarily used to evaluate a student’s proficiency level and placement in specific language courses once admitted to Stanford Egypt.Stanford Egypt School accepts applications for students in Baby Class to Second prep. All applications are checked on individual basis.
The admission office works from Saturday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. Students are selected through a competitive admission process as we look for highly motivated students with diverse backgrounds, talents, and skills.
Admission Office accepts new applications and students transferring from abroad throughout the year according to availability. We start the reviewing process for each new school year by Early of November .

- Stanford Egypt office will contact you once the application is received to set an appointment for the assessment tests and the interview for both parents and the child/children.
- Students applying for the Kindergarten Stage will be assessed based on their developmental stage in relation to their chronological age.
- Older students will be assessed in English , Arabic. Math and Second language (French- German).
- Please ensure you and your child attend the assessment and family interview on the scheduled date.
- Stanford Egypt understands that some children may not perform to their full potential due to being nervous. Therefore, at the school’s discretion, a child may be invited to retake the assessment.
- Acceptance into Stanford Egypt Schools is contingent upon passing the admission assessment.
- Parents will be notified within 72 hours of testing via a Mail from the Office of Admissions regarding whether the student has met the admission standards or not.
- If the applicant is eligible, A meeting is scheduled for the parents of the accepted child with the Headmistress and the School Director to explain the School Guiding Statements, and terms of School-Parent Code of Conduct. (Baby Class & KG1)
- After attending the meeting you will be requested to pay a Down Payment of total tuition fees within 7 days to reserve a place for the student for the school year applied for (Baby Class – KG1) and the Parents have to submit the required documents. Check the “Required Documents” section below.
Placement exams
· Original birth certificate – computer-generated (Egyptian students).
· Copy of student’s passport or birth certificate and residence visa valid for not less than six months – this should not be a tourist visa (non-Egyptian students).
· Six recent passport-size photos of students.
· Copy of mother and father’s ID (National Number) and passport copies of non-Egyptian parents.
· Original academic report from the previous school for the last academic year.
· Official transcript /report of high school courses and credits for students applying to Grades 10, 11 and 12 (transferred from American schools)
· Letter of good conduct from the previous school for students in Grade 1 and above.
In case the student is transferring from a school within Egypt, you are required to present all the above-mentioned documents in addition to the following:
· Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) stamped from the previous school and from the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) starting from Grade 1.
· Legal success report (بيان نجاح) for last academic year stamped by the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) in case of transfer from an International school.
· Legal success report (بيان نجاح) including the English high level and the second language for the last academic year stamped by the Educational District (الإدارة التعليمية) in case of transfer from a national school.
· Transfer request (طلب تحويل) stamped from both the school the student is transferring from and the Educational District. (الإدارة التعليمية)
· In case the student’s transferring school and the school he/she is transferring to are in different governorates (محافظتين مختلفتين), the transfer request (طلب تحويل) should be stamped from the school and from both Educational Districts (الإدارتين التعليميتين) and Educational Directorates (المديريتين التعليميتين)
· Electronic transfer (تحويل الكترونى) request from the previous school.
In case the student is transferring from a school outside Egypt, you are required to present all the documents in Part 1 in addition to the following:
· Attendance statement (تسلسل دراسى) from the previous school stamped by the Ministry of Education of the country the student is transferring from, as well as by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
· The last school report stamped by the Ministry of Education in the country the student is transferring from, as well as by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
· Issuing a letter of admission from the Educational District for both Egyptian and non-Egyptian students transferring from abroad. الحاق مصرى عائد / الحاق وافد
To enable students to be fully enrolled at Stanford Egypt school, all the documents required by the school and the Ministry of Education in Egypt must be submitted to our Student Affairs office before the beginning of the academic year. Please be advised that it is the sole responsibility of the parent to comply with submitting these documents. The School accepts no responsibility for the consequences or failure to do so.
